Won a court in Denmark

The Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Denmark has declared illegal the charges against the crew members of the vessels “Conwenna” and “Trewenna”.

On April 28, 2023, the High Court of the Kingdom of Denmark upheld the decision of the first instance and admitted that the crew members of the vessels “Conwenna” and “Trewenna” had been illegally accused of violating Danish migration requirements while the vessels were operating off the coast of Redbyhavn.

We remind that on March 10, 2021, the sailors of the vessels were forcibly deported from the Kingdom of Denmark, allegedly due to the lack of permission from the Migration Authorities to work in Denmark. Morwenna Shipping Company immediately took all the measures to protect the interests of the crew members and ensured qualified legal assistance to restore justice.

On June 29, 2021, the court of the Kingdom of Denmark at the first instance already declared illegal the actions of the Danish authorities on our sailors` charges who worked on the vessels “Conwenna” and “Trewenna”.

On July 7, 2021, the prosecutor filed an appeal against the judgment not in his favor with the Danish High Court.

Morwenna Shipping Company has achieved its goals: all the interests of the sailors have been protected and all illegal charges have been dropped!
