A brief overview of BreakBulk Europe 2025

Russian freight forwarders attended the exhibition. Despite sanctions, European companies are eager to work with Russian companies. This is due to the large volume of projects both within Russia and in the Caspian Sea, which can only be implemented through the IWB/VDSC, while projects in northern Kazakhstan require the Ob-Irtysh basin.

Our representative discussed with colleagues projects in the Caspian Sea where international freight forwarders are expected to participate. For example, Silleno in Kazakhstan, Absheron in Azerbaijan, as well as projects in the Persian Gulf related to oil and gas field development and the delivery of oversized cargo from Europe.

It was emphasized that oversized cargo transportation to the Caspian Sea is only possible on Russian-flagged vessels, which requires transshipment through Turkish ports or the Russian ports of Novorossiysk and St. Petersburg.

We also witnessed the gala ceremony of the Breakbulk Europe Awards, recognizing leaders in maritime transportation. The winners in the “Best Sea Freight” category were: AAL Shipping, AtoB@C Shipping, Comark, Prism Logistics, Sea O.G., and Suvari Shipping and Trading.
