Morwenna at Bosphorus Shipbrokers Dinner 2026 in Istanbul

Representatives of Morwenna Shipping Company took part in the Bosphorus Shipbrokers Dinner 2026, held on June 26 in Istanbul at the Istanbul Convention & Exhibition Centre. The event, organised by the Turkish Shipbrokers Association (Gemi Brokerleri Derneği), brought together around 2,500 maritime industry professionals from around the world – shipowners, brokers, charterers, and representatives of financial and insurance companies.

From Morwenna Shipping Company, the event was attended by Founder Alexander Baranov and Deputy Head of the Commercial Department Aliona Prodaniuk. Participation in this prestigious business dinner allowed the company’s representatives to establish new business contacts and exchange views on current market issues – barge transportation from the port of Haydarpasha to Russian ports or in transit to the Caspian Sea countries. The most attention in the discussions was given to the safety problems of sea voyages through the Black Sea and the Kerch Strait, where at the moment there is no insurance coverage for war risks, while the risks of damage to vessels and cargo do exist.

Despite the geopolitical situation, the shipping community remains united, and Morvenna maintains its position as a leading carrier of project and oversized cargo on barges.
