«Морвенна» на BreakBulk Caspian-2024

Republic of Georgia hosted the BreakBulk CASPIAN Conference in Tbilisi, September 26-27, which is one of the leading international events in oversized and heavy-lift cargo logistics sector in the Caucasus and Caspian regions.

The event brought together more than 100 experts in oversized logistics from Georgia, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia. The conference became an excellent platform for networking and discussing promising projects in the Caspian region logistics. It is important to note that among the participants Morwenna Shipping Company was the only owner and operator of flat top barges and RoRo barges.

Traditionally, the conference held discussions on key issues and solutions in the field of project cargo logistics.

Oksana Kolegova, Executive Director, Panditrans Insurance Company, shared a case of her client who refused to sign the subrogation agreement. This case appeared to be of much interest of the entire audience, including Morwenna, since it was related to cargo transported on one of our company’s barges. In addition, she covered the specifics of war and terrorism risks insurance, which is the most relevant topic in the current chartering environment. Especially in the context of discussing the transportation of oversized cargo (particularly for the Silleno project) from the Port of Haydarpaşa, Turkey to the Port of Atyrau or the Port of Bautino, Kazakhstan.

We would also like to extend our particular gratitude to Valentin Bokaty, Executive Director, Novorossiysk Port Terminal Ltd., a freight forwarding company. In response to a question from the audience about plans to use the ATBs fleet, he emphasized his excellent knowledge of the composition of the Morvenna fleet, which already includes 37 barges and 28 tugs.

Morwenna prepared memorable souvenirs for conference participants, including postcards with projects,

and also created a group on Telegram for oversized logistics specialists only:
