Morwenna Participates in HEAVY CASPIAN 2024 Conference

On March 27, the anniversary X conference “HEAVY CASPIAN 2024” was held in Almaty.

The large-scale international event was attended by more than 200 delegates from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Germany.

The focus was on current issues of oversized and heavy cargo transportation in the regions of the South Caucasus, the Caspian Sea and in the countries of Central Asia. Particular attention was paid to the transportation of CTG through the VDSK. The specifics of transportation of oversized cargo for the projects of Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant, KazAzot, Silleno, Khizi-Absheron Wind Power Plant and a gas chemical complex based on MTO in Uzbekistan were discussed. We also discussed Morwenna’s project for transporting 700 tons of reactors through the UKC to the port of Atyrau: on barges of project 03060 and tugboats under the flag of the Russia.

We have seen agian that international events truly are places where experienced specialists meet each other and together find solutions for non-standard problems. We thank the organizers for the great event and look forward to seeing our colleagues next year!

We are actively preparing our barges and tugs for the start of navigation at the “Kranservice” base in Astrakhan. The newly acquired fleet, platform barges Morwenna-3609-3612, will also join the new projects.
