Morwenna at Baku Energy Week 2026

Morwenna once again took part in the key industry event of the region – Baku Energy Week 2026, which brought together the Caspian Power International Exhibition and the Caspian Oil and Gas Conference «Oil and Gas, Refining and Petrochemistry of the Caspian Sea».

The event is the only specialised platform in the Caspian region showcasing the latest achievements of the energy industry. Participants discussed the dynamic development of Azerbaijan’s energy sector, growing investor interest in the region, and the prospects for alternative energy sources. Among the exhibitors were AZENCO, AZERENERGY, Nexans, Schneider Electric, and others.

At the stands and during informal meetings at Baku Energy Week, Alexander Baranov, Founder of Morwenna Shipping Company, spoke with existing partners and held talks with new potential customers among the exhibition participants. The main focus of the conversations was on the company’s logistics capabilities, experience in oversized cargo transportation for energy projects, and the readiness of Morwenna’s fleet to operate in the Caspian region.

To date, Morwenna Shipping Company has successfully completed over 20 shipments of oversized equipment for the wind energy sector. The company holds a customs carrier licence and has delivered cargo via Russia’s inland waterways and the Caspian Sea to Atyrau (KPI project), Prorva (Tengizchevroil project), as well as to Baku for the Total Absheron project and the Khizi-Absheron wind farm.

Morwenna Shipping Company continues to actively develop its fleet and logistics capabilities, remaining a reliable partner in the shipping and transportation sector.
