Morwenna Participates in “NEFTEGAZSHELF” Conference

The XVI conference “Contracts on the oil and gas shelf” (“NEFTEGAZSHELF – 2023”) was held on October 27 in Moscow. The event was dedicated to the prospects for the development of oil and gas fields, work under sanctions, and the practice of import substitution. The conference program included a comprehensive discussion of offshore projects, the important components of which are logistics and safety.

The conference was attended by Svetlana Sarsenova, head of business development at Morvenna Insurance Company. The company’s barge-tug fleet, numbering more than 60 vessels, has been repeatedly involved in oil and gas projects. The company recently successfully completed a project to ensure the safe operation of the semi-submersible drilling rig (SSDR) Dada Gorgud. For six months, the tugboat “Ievoli Orange” was on duty according to the OSR plan, in case of which there were professional rescuers on board the ship, ready to use special equipment.

In the same year, Venna and Trivenna, the company’s other tugs, completed their participation in a large-scale seismic survey project in India. Thanks to the design and subsequent installation of special equipment by KB Kompas and CJSC Kranservis (part of the Morvenna Group of Companies), the task of confirming reserves in certain areas of Kambeysky was solved, which was facilitated by the company’s similar experience in the Northern Sea Route.

Morwenna’s experience in the oil and gas sector also extends to transportation. The company tows platforms and transports project cargo, such as plant modules, splitters, economizers, reactors, turbines, generators, tanks and other large and heavy cargo. Over the years of its work, cargo has been delivered to projects of Gazprom, Novatek, Lukoil, Rosneft, Bashneft, Tengizchevroil, KazMunayGas, Petronas, Surhan, Saipem and others.
