Morwenna shared with PortNews magazine growth strategy

The prospects for barge transportation in Russia are primarily related to the development of the Northern Sea Route (NSR). This opinion was voiced by representatives of Morwenna Insurance Company in an article published in PortNews magazine (No. 3, September 2023).

Cooperation with Arctic projects is growing as new facilities are built. Thus, in 2022, four barges of the company worked to deliver pipe piles, parts and equipment for crawler cranes to Sever Bay. There is a demand for the delivery of oversized cargo, as evidenced, for example, by the transportation of a floating gas storage facility for the Novatek company.

In addition to the future of barge transportation, the material talks about the company’s development strategy, reorientation to the domestic market, fleet renewal, possibilities for transporting oversized objects and much more.
