Morwenna at the Conference “Project Logistics for Industry and Infrastructure”

On May 19, 2026, the Third Conference “Project Logistics for Industry and Infrastructure” was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

More than 120 industry professionals took part in the event. The conference featured four thematic sessions: prospects for the development of the project logistics market for Russian players, new routes for project cargo, insurance and support services, and digital products for the industry.

Participants proposed several initiatives to optimize legislation and the role of government bodies in regulating shipping, road transportation, and oversized cargo transit. Other topics discussed included the unification of insurance contracts in project logistics, the digitalization of the industry, and interagency cooperation based on the GosLog platform.

The session “New Routes for Project Cargo” featured the participation of Alexander Baranov, founder of Morwenna Shipping Company. He delivered a report titled “How to Revive the Logistics of Oversized and Heavy Cargo in Russia?” and joined the discussion on developing a route network for complex cargo.

In his speech, the founder of our company not only analyzed the existing barriers in organizing oversized cargo transportation but also proposed specific mechanisms to remove these constraints. During the discussion, he emphasized the need for more flexible interaction between shipowners, freight forwarders, and government agencies, and pointed to the potential of integrating river and sea capacities to create seamless routes.

We thank our partner, the PortNews media group, for a wonderfully organized event and look forward to meeting again next year! This year, we participated as information partners of the conference.
