Morwenna’s participation in the seminar “Provision of a fleet to support the exploitation of the Kalamkas-Sea field”

On December 5-6, a seminar on the topic “Provision of a fleet to support the operation of the Kalamkas-Sea field” was held in Aktau.

Morwenna SC presented the company’s fleet, which was specifically purchased or built for projects at the Caspian Sea fields: Kashagan, Isatai, Zhemchuzhina, Filanovsky, Karabatan, Abai, and Zhenis.

As a reminder, construction of offshore platforms for the development of the Kalamkas-Sea-Khazar oil and gas field will begin at Kazakh shipyards in 2026. Construction will begin with the installation of steel-frame offshore platforms at the field.

The Kalamkas-Sea-Khazar field is planned to provide first oil production by 2029, with peak production volumes of up to 4 million tons.

The Kalamkas-More field is located in the central part of the northeastern sector of the Caspian Sea, 64 km from the coast. The sea depth here is 6-7 meters. The field is a long and narrow structure approximately 50 km long and up to 6 km wide. The Khazar field is located 30 km southwest of Kalamkas-More and 65 km northwest of the Buzachi Peninsula. These fields have been explored and have confirmed reserves.

We would like to thank the event organizer, Kalamkas — Khazar Operating LLC, for the invitation to participate in the seminar and its excellent organization.
