Morwenna’s participation in the seminar “Provision of Fleet for Exploitation of Kalamkas-Sea Field”

On December 5-6 in Aktau there was held a seminar on the topic “Provision of Fleet for Exploitation of Kalamkas-Sea Field”. Morwenna Shipping Compamy presented the company’s fleet, which was specially purchased or built for projects on the Caspian Sea fields: “Kashagan”, “Isatay”, “Zhemchuzhina”, “Filanovsky”, “Karabatan”, “Abay”, “Zhenis”.

Reminder:  the construction of offshore platforms for the development of the oil and gas field “Kalamkas Sea – Khazar” will begin at Kazakh shipyards in 2026. The development  at the field will begin with the installation of steel offshore platforms.

According to the plan, the Kalamkas Sea – Khazar field will provide first oil production by 2029, with peak production of up to 4 million tons. 

The Kalamkas Sea – Khazar field is located in the central part of the north-eastern sector of the Caspian Sea, 64 kilometers from the coast. The depth of the sea here is 6-7 meters. The field is a long and narrow structure about 50 km long and up to 6 km wide. The Hazar deposit is located 30 km southwest of Kalamkas Sea and 65 km northwest of Buzachi Peninsula. The fields have been explored and have confirmed reserves.
