Launching of RORO – Pontoon Morwenna-3002

On the 25 of April 2019, a new Ro-Ro Pontoon of Project 8916 was launched at the Neptune shipyard in Szczecin, Poland. The pontoon is called Morwenna-3002. A series of pontoons of this project is created specifically for the transportation of oversized cargo.

The peculiarity of the 4 new barges of this project (Silver 3008, 3009, 3010 and Morwenna-3002) is that they are modernized at the stage of launching: special supporting structures are designed and installed on the deck for more convenient and efficient transportation of heavy and oversized cargo using SPMT trailers.
