Fehmarn-Belt underwater tunnel and bridge project (FEHMARN-BELT)

ABOUT THE PROJECT: 

• Duration: October 2020 – March 2021
  Route: Astrakhan – Redbihavn – St. Petersburg

PROJECT EXECUTION: 

• Mobilisation of tugs from Astrakhan to Redbihavn.
  Preparation and passing of marine warranty survey.
  Transportation of loaded barges to the site of works (construction of breakwaters).
  Demobilisation of tugs to St. Petersburg.
  The tugs under the flag of the Russian Federation were manned by the Russian crew.
  The crew members of the vessels ‘Konvenna’ and ‘Trivenna’ were illegally accused of violating Danish migration requirements during work on the project. Because of this, the company’s participation in the project was reduced to 7 months. The proceedings lasted for two years. On 28 April 2023, the High Court of the Kingdom of Denmark declared illegal the actions of the Danish authorities on the charges against the seafarers of SC Morwenna working on the vessels ‘Konvenna’ and ‘Trivenna’.
