  • Type of Work: Support for underwater hull inspection of vessels

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION:

This project marked an important milestone for Morwenna Shipping Company entered the updated port services market under a new regulatory framework. With the introduction of mandatory diving inspections for all vessels calling at the Port of St. Petersburg, our team needed to adapt quickly to the new requirements and thoroughly work through both the technical and administrative regulations.

During implementation, through active cooperation with the Harbour Master’s Office of Greater St. Petersburg and under the operational management of the customer, a key competitive advantage was achieved. We obtained official permission to perform the work without pilotage services (Pilotage Exemption). This solution significantly improved the tug’s maneuverability, reduced transit time, and provided the customer with maximum flexibility in scheduling inspections.

Particular mention should be made of the crew’s work in the extreme ice conditions of December 2025. Despite the challenging navigational situation in the port waters, the captain and crew of the tug “Silver Lovena” demonstrated a high level of professionalism and teamwork. Thanks to the crew’s correct actions, downtime was avoided, and both the full safety of the vessel and an uninterrupted diving cycle were ensured. The high level of work organization was acknowledged by the customer with verbal gratitude to the team.

After successfully navigating the ice period, all subsequent stages of the project (through May 2026) were carried out in normal mode, with strict adherence to schedules and safety standards.
