Towing of the Pechora dredger

Tasks execution:

  • The dredger was towed in two stages: delivery to Rostov-on-Don and return to Astrakhan.
  • The first stage: November 12-20, 2023 along the route from the berth of CJSC “KRANSERVICE” in Astrakhan to the road in Rostov-on-Don. The object was driven along the route without any comments, but had difficulties because the object was not adapted to towing.  This was due to the protruding non-removable parts of the structure, which did not allow the dredger to be pushed without damaging it or the tugboat. The partner, the repair and technical base of Kranservice CJSC, upgraded the facility by building up an additional structure on the hull, allowing the dredger to be pushed.
  • The second stage: April 3-14, 2024. The tugboat Hero Alexander Samofalov was additionally involved in transporting the object, because a milling cutter was installed on the dredger.
