Towage of Sukhona dredger from SPb to Dudinka



ABOUT THE PROJECT:

  • Duration: August 13 – September 24, 2022.;
  • Route: Kronstadt – Dudinka;
  • Task: towing the Sukhona dredger (33.12×10.10×2.75 m), draught per run – 1.65 m.

PROJECT EXECUTION:

  • The route Kronstadt – Belomorsk – double towing, where t/v “Vityaz” was the head tug, and t/v “Monsoon” on pushing. From Belomorsk to Dudinka – towing by one tugboat of the “Vityaz”.
  • The complexity of the project was connected with strong winds and waves in the White Sea and the NSR.
  • Additional difficulties consisted in the specific design of the Sukhona’s hull, as well as in its heavy running.
  • The Sukhona was safely and successfully towed to the new area of operation.
