Twing Barges Towing

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

• Route: Baku – Astrakhan – GDP – St. Petersburg – Murmansk;
  
• Duration: 46 days;
  
• Task: towing 2 pontoons TWIN BARGES: Ruth + Silke.

PROJECT ACHIEVEMENTS: 

• From Baku to Astrakhan two pontoons were being towed in a paired state.
• Further transportation along the GDP involved passage through locks. For this purpose, two pontoons were disconnected in the port of Astrakhan, and additional vessels were connected to tow the barges.
